The best views in Sydney are almost always of the harbour. Which is why some of Sydney’s best restaurants are moments away from our shining jewel. Need some Sydney Harbour restaurant inspiration?

Catalina’s at Rose Bay has a stunning waterfront location and view of the city. Sip a cocktail before enjoying a Wagyu Beef steak or some of the day’s freshest fish.

Doyles on the Beach at Watsons Bay, is a Sydney institution and is famous for serving some of the best seafood in town. Tuck into freshly shucked oysters as you watch the sun set over the Harbour.

For some Sydney style la dolce vita, you can’t go past Otto in Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf. Enjoy a long lunch with some of their best, seasonal Italian cuisine and watch the world go by.

On the other side of the harbour, we have the stunning Ripples at Chowder Bay. It has transformed from a submarine miners’ depot into a stunning waterfront restaurant. Ripples shows a slice of Sydney’s history with breathtaking views.

For a completely different outlook, we can travel to Ormeggio at the Spit. This buzzy little restaurant has an amazing Italian seafood menu with some of Sydney’s best homemade gelato.

Take a water taxi to Manly to dine in one of their many restaurants on Manly Wharf or on the ocean side. Hugos is a 5 star restaurant that never fails to disappoint. It has fresh, Italian cuisine, impressive cocktails and a view overlooking Manly Cove.

Whether you’re heading for a long lunch or an evening soiree, taking a water taxi in Sydney Harbour is the most relaxing and picturesque way to travel
